Chase waterfalls, not crowds.

Bali has dozens of waterfalls. Most tourists see one and move on. This tour hits three of the best — each completely different in character. Tegenungan is powerful and wide, Tibumana is hidden and peaceful, Kanto Lampo is unlike anything you've seen — water flowing over layered rock like a staircase.

We end at the Tegallalang rice terraces while the afternoon light is still good. Bring a towel — you'll want to swim.

The journey, stop by stop

01

Tegenungan Waterfall

Morning

The most accessible of Bali's big waterfalls — wide, powerful, and great for photos. We arrive early before the crowds. You can swim in the pool at the base or just enjoy the view from the terraced stairs above.

Tibumana Waterfall

Mid-morning

A hidden gem — a short jungle walk leads to a twin waterfall in a quiet, secluded canyon. Far fewer tourists than Tegenungan. The pool is deep enough to swim and the sound of the falls echoing off the canyon walls is something else.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall

Before lunch

The most photogenic of the three — water cascades over layered rock formations like a natural staircase. You can sit right in the water flow for incredible photos. The local access is through a village — I know the best parking spot.

Tegallalang Rice Terraces

Afternoon

End the day at the famous UNESCO-recognized rice terraces. The afternoon light makes the green layers glow. Walk the trails, try the famous swing, or sit at a cafe overlooking the valley. A perfect way to wind down after chasing waterfalls all morning.
